I feel that there is a lot more that the Tamil diaspora can do than what we are doing at present in the "Boycott Sri Lanka" campaign, especially in respect of the earnings of the GoSL from tourism and export of garments. If we make use of this avenue to the full surely the GoSL will feel the squeeze before long and this could be done effectively in any democratic country without any hindrance.

There is no point in talking the same issue again and again!! LTTE diaspora may boycott and Tamils in general will never do this. Why we should boycott our own products. You may call us traitors but it is ok. Similary we call you loosers!!

I wonder if rebranding sri lanka as a beach destination will work, now that bombs have gone off in Matara, (south coast), and in Nittambuwa. a fewmore like that in strategic places, and the sinhalese can kiss good bye to any chance of prosperity for themselves.

In any case rajapakse inc wants to spend the equivalent of about 6 lakhs rupees for each sinhalese man, woman and child on the greatest fire works display the world has seen. If the US cant win in Iraq with all their surveillance and technology what chance do the sinhalese military have of defeating an entrenched guerilla army which is not lead by corrupt officers. The LTTE will only loose if they try to fight the battle the sinhalese army wants them to. India has learnt that they wont, and I expect the sinhalese will this year.
