A well written editorial. The demand of the times is that the Tamil diaspora plays a key role at this critical juncture. The Tamil diaspora should function on a very braod and democratic basis accepting certain fundamental minimum concepts like for example the Thmphu principles which are fundamental to preserve our identity as a distinct group of people with a distinct language,culture,traditions and historicity. There should be room for everybody including the quislings and aspirants to such positions to join. Let us discuss openly and see how we can take things forward with the will of the majority prevailing as in any democratic institution. Let us stop talking and begin to ACT in the interests of hundreds of thousands of innocent Tamil civilians languishing in the concentration camps; in the interests of seeking justice for the massacre of tens of thousands of innocent civilians and in the interests of seeking a durable peace, a peace with honour and dignity and prosperity for our people.
