Common sense dictate that sl would not admit any war crime during the war. But it is the responsiblity of tamils-diaspora and IC to persist in bring the culprits to justice. Those who say it is alright to beg and borrow money, weapon and other support from IC to win the war against LTTE but when they failed to listen to concern of civilians during the war and made the war as a racist war on tamils and ltte. Then no amount of cry saying they are a soveregin country and no other country can have war crime inquiry, then they are on thin ice.No amount of shouting to win support with their local sinhalese population is not going to go down well with the IC or even those sinhalese who have already passed the evidence to the proposed inquiry.

Tamils diaspora lost their relatives in the war since peace deal signed in 2002 and went on to 40000 in 2009 as claimed by former a UN expert who undestood the mindset of sl and want justice for the dead and wounded and the misled innocent villagers who were chased like cattle to sea front of mulliavaikal a narrow strip of the size of football ground.

Sl already lost its soverenity since it cannot make any decision without informing Delhi since it was reported they fought the war for India and India was at it even CM-TN played a part during the indian election in may 09 with his expertise in acting and drama.

2200 year old tamil pottery in so called hambanthotta should not come as a surprise. a retired highway engineer wrote a book in the seveties showing most of the roads in sinhaklese areas of south from katharagama with tamil names.History repeat itself. Now even the north and east are becoming sinhalese areas in our times. Ambanthotta was a tamil area like amparai.

At least a thousand of the persons disappeared during Sri Lanka government’s war on Vanni are students below the age of eighteen and their families, mostly mothers, have begun a desperate search for their children gone missing after arrest by Sri Lanka Army (SLA) at the end of the war, Education Department sources in Ki’linochchi said. Sri Lanka government has failed to disclose the particulars of the teenage students who had either surrendered or been arrested while humanitarian organizations responsible for tracing persons disappeared have no information on them, the sources added.
